(ECNS) — Chinese researchers on Sunday unveiled an artificial intelligence model designed to integrate meteorological factors into financial analysis at the second Financial Meteorology Academic Annual Conference held in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province.
Named "Stock," the model was jointly developed by Fudan University and the National Meteorological Information Center of China. It aims to explore the role of weather and climate factors in financial asset pricing and to provide innovative tools for risk management and investment decision-making.
According to the developers, the model will offer stronger technological support for building intelligent financial service systems and for quantitative assessment of meteorological risks.
The model is expected to have broad applications in the financial sector. Listed companies in weather-sensitive industries can use it for climate risk management and market value stabilization, while banks and insurance institutions may apply it to risk control in equity pledge businesses and explore innovative climate-related investment and financing models.
The model can also serve as an auxiliary tool for quantitative investment and help academic researchers test and refine theories related to asset pricing, developers said.
